Bills endpoint

Search and read bills, plus sponsors, votes, actions, text, committees, similar bills, explainers, and take-action targets.

The bills endpoints expose legislation across Congress and the states.

List & search

GET /api/v1/bills?q=telehealth&limit=25

Pass q for relevance-ranked full-text search, or omit it for the recent feed. updated_since filters by change date for incremental sync; limit is 1–100 (default 25). Returns a data array of bills:

GET /api/v1/bills/:id

The detailed payload adds abstract, sponsors_count, actions_count, votes_count, and a sponsors array.
