Beginning with the 2027 tax year and each tax year after KAS H06097'26 *_HB5517_INTR_1 0z4r8n 1 2027, the amount of the credit allowed under this subsection must be adjusted by the percentage increase in the United States Consumer Price Index for the immediately preceding calendar year.
Beginning with the 2027 tax year and each tax year after KAS H06097'26 *_HB5517_APH_1 60pu27 1 2027, the amount of the credit allowed under this subsection must be adjusted by the percentage increase in the United States Consumer Price Index for the immediately preceding calendar year.
(1) Except as otherwise provided under this section, for tax years that begin on and after January 1, 2026, a taxpayer that is a distributor who originates a deposit on a beverage container may claim a credit against the tax imposed under this part equal to $0.005 per returnable container sold during the tax KAS H06097'26 *_HB5517_INTR_1 0z4r8n 1 year.
