The bill now clarifies that registered professional nurses and licensed practical nurses must have a license renewal cycle of three years, which aligns with the existing requirement for speech-language pathologists. Additionally, the language has been adjusted to emphasize that using titles related to speech-language pathology is only allowed for those who are properly licensed. This change is important as it ensures both professions have a clear and consistent licensing cycle, promoting professionalism and accountability in the healthcare field.
