Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 4678 removes several requirements related to the sale of motor fuel by rental equipment providers. Specifically, it eliminates the need for motor fuel to meet national air quality standards, the requirement for calibration of dispensing devices at least every three years, and the restriction on requiring renters to buy fuel from the provider. These changes matter because they reduce regulatory burdens on equipment rental businesses, potentially lowering costs for consumers but raising concerns about environmental and safety standards.
