Plain-language change summary

The changes to Bill HB 4468 clarify that health insurance coverage for gender transition procedures or treatments will only apply if the individual was enrolled in the policy at the time of the procedure or treatment. Previously, the bill would have provided coverage regardless of enrollment status at that time. This matters because it limits the circumstances under which insurance can be accessed for these important health services, potentially impacting individuals seeking care for gender transition.
