Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Assembly Bill No. 397 introduces changes to the eligibility criteria for fee waivers granted by the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada. It expands access to waivers for students who are unaccompanied or were homeless for a certain period, and it also continues fee waivers for specific Native American students. These changes are important as they aim to support more students facing financial hardship, helping them afford higher education and promoting equity in access to educational resources.
