Plain-language change summary

Senate Bill 313 has been updated to expand the authority of the State Purchasing Act to include contracts for services, in addition to supplies and equipment. This means that the process for extending contracts is now more clearly defined for services, allowing for a smoother continuation of services when needed. Additionally, it requires the Purchasing Administrator to report to the Legislative Commission on any agencies that do not comply with these rules. These changes aim to improve transparency and accountability in state contracting processes.
