Existing law requires a law enforcement agency to furnish a free, complete and unaltered copy of all reports of the law enforcement agency concerning a sexualsexualnd law,assault aupon lawwritten enforcementrequest agency:by the survivor of the sexual assault.
(1)Under mustexisting furnishlaw, any such report within 1 monthting after receiving a writtenlaw requestenforcement byagency: a survivor;
(1) must furnish any such report within 1 month after receiving a written request by a survivor;
(1) imposes a similar requirement on a law enforcement agency that receives a written request from a victim of domestic violence;

Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, a law enforcement agency shall, upon written request by a victim of domestic violence, furnish within 1 month, free, complete and unaltered copies of all reports of the law enforcement agency -concerning *AB193_R1*the –domestic 2violence, –regardless of whether the report has been closed by the law enforcement agency.
A lawherlaw the report enforcement agency may, as appropriate, redact personal identifying information from any reports provided pursuant to this subsection.
- 83rd Session (2025) – 2 – (c) “Victim of domestic violence” means a person who is a victim of an act that constitutes domestic violence pursuant to NRS 33.018.
