AN ACT making an appropriation for allocation to nonprofit organizations to provide programs for the creation and maintenance of school gardens;

There is hereby appropriated from the State General Fund to the Other State Education Programs Account in the State General Fund for the cost of creating and maintainingmaintainingin the programs for school gardens that meet the requirements of subsection 3 the following sums:
- *SB104_R1* – 2 – (1) Includes a comprehensive science, technology, engineering and mathematics school garden program.
(3) Complies with the standards of content and performance for a course of study in science adopted by the State Board ofofce Education pursuant to NRS 389.520;
- 83rd Session (2025) – 2 – (4) Uses experiential learning or project-based learning to teach science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics;
(5) Is designed with the assistance of teachers and other educational personnel with experience at the appropriate grade levels (6) Involves supervised learning experiences for the pupils at the school;school in a classroom and a school garden.

(2)(3) Development and implementation of science,training technology,that engineering,may artsbe provided to a group or individually to teachers in how to establish and mathematicsmaintain curriculaschool thatgardens incorporateto increase the usetime ofteachers aallocate schoolto garden;teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics;
(3) Development and implementation of training that may be provided to a group or individually to teachers in how to establish - *SB104_R1* – 3 – and maintain school gardens to increase the time teachers allocate to teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics;
and - 83rd Session (2025) – 3 – (c) Pay for the costs of a conference regarding school gardens held in this State.
(a) “Public school” has the meaning ascribed to it in NRSNRS(b) 385.007.“School garden” includes, without limitation, a hydroponic garden.
(b) “School garden” includes, without limitation, a hydroponic garden.
Any balance of the sums appropriated by section 1 of this act remaining at the end of the respective fiscal years must not be committed for expenditure after June 30 of the respective fiscalfiscalot years by the entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity to which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise transferred in any manner, and any portion of the appropriated money remaining must not be spent for any purpose after September 18, 2026, and September 17, 2027, respectively, by either the entity to which the money was appropriated or the entity to which the money was subsequently granted or transferred, and - *SB104_R1* – 4 – must be reverted to the State General Fund on or before September 18, 2026, and September 17, 2027, respectively.

There is hereby appropriated from the State General Fund to the Mob Museum the sum of $250,000 for the planning phase of its expansion.

Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, - 83rd Session (2025) – 4 – 2027, by the entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity to which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise transferred in any manner, and any portion of the appropriated money remaining must not be spent for any purpose after September 17, 2027, by either the entity to which the money was appropriated or the entity to which the money was subsequently granted or transferred, and must be reverted to the State General Fund on or before September 17, 2027.

There is hereby appropriated from the State General Fund to the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges the sum of $100,000 for the purpose of supporting the Nev2.a Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2027, by the entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity to which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise transferred in any manner, and any portion of the appropriated money remaining must not be spent for any purpose after September 17, 2027, by either the entity to which the money was appropriated or the entity to which the money was subsequently granted or transferred, and must be reverted to the State General Fund on or before September 17, 2027.

There is hereby appropriated from the State General Fund to Raise the Future the sum of $250,000 to support its programs in this State.
