Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 244 expands the hydroponic gardening program to include students from pre-kindergarten to the 12th grade, instead of just kindergarten to 5th grade. This change allows a broader range of students to participate in hands-on learning experiences in gardening and agriculture, which can enhance their education in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Additionally, the bill maintains its focus on creating learning opportunities that are relevant to Nevada's environment and involves community support, ultimately benefiting local schools and students.
