Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Senate Bill No. 160 allow university schools for profoundly gifted pupils to partner with out-of-state higher education institutions to offer dual credit courses when local options are not available. Previously, existing law confined these cooperative agreements to institutions within the state. This change is significant because it expands educational opportunities for gifted students, ensuring they can access a broader range of advanced courses that might better meet their unique needs.
