AN ACT relating to education; revising provisions governing the membership of the Nevada Advisory Commission on Mentoring; requiring the Department of Education to provide the Commission with administrative support; eliminating the requirement for the appointment of a Mentorship Advisory Council; requiring the Commission and the Department of Education to work in consultation to provide direction to the coordinator for mentorship programs in this State; making appropriations; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

(NRS of superintendents of certain school districts in this State and members appointed by the Governor, the Commission, the Speaker and Minority Leader of the Assembly and the Majority Leader and Minority Leader of the Senate.
(NRS 385.760, 385.780) Under existing law, the membership of the Commission consists by the Governor, the Commission, the Speaker and Minority Leader of thes appointed Assembly and the Majority Leader and Minority Leader of the Senate.
(NRS 385.760) Section 1 of this bill requires all members appointed by the Speaker or Minority Leader of the Assembly or the Majority Leader or Minority Leader of the of the Commission from 4 years to 2 years and prohibits a member from serving member more than two consecutive terms.
