The amendments to Bill SF 90 specify new requirements for rental fees that school districts can charge for the use of their property by youth clubs and other activities not sponsored by the district. Specifically, the bill states that these rental fees cannot exceed the actual costs related to personnel, equipment, utilities, and supplies. This change aims to make the use of school facilities more affordable for community youth programs, ensuring that costs are transparent and fair. This matters because it can encourage greater community involvement and access to school resources for extracurricular activities.
