Plain-language change summary

The revised version of HB 2219 has removed the specific requirements regarding a zero-tolerance policy for imminent physical harm due to high-potency synthetic opioids in licensed child care settings. Instead, the focus has shifted to general safety measures while still promoting the quality of early childhood programs. This change matters because it simplifies the requirements for child care providers and may make it easier for them to comply with licensing standards, potentially increasing accessibility to child care services without compromising safety.
