Plain-language change summary

The latest version of SB 5041 eliminates a provision that previously allowed individuals to receive unemployment benefits for up to 12 weeks specifically if their unemployment was due to a strike. This change means that individuals no longer have a separate benefit period tied to striking, potentially affecting their financial support during prolonged labor disputes. Removing this section could streamline the benefits system but may leave some workers without support in times of job action.
