What changed in the latest version

The updated version of House Bill 2240 includes a significant change regarding how rental agreements can be communicated to occupants. Previously, if an occupant had provided an email address, the owner was required to send the rental agreement through both email and first-class mail. This requirement has been removed, simplifying the process for owners. Additionally, the notice period for occupants to remove their belongings after a rental agreement is terminated has been shortened from 25 days to 15 days. These changes streamline communication and might speed up the process of clearing out storage units, which can be beneficial for storage facility owners.
