The updated version of Bill SB 5911 has removed specific language about using traditional savings and loan accounts and instead emphasizes using accounts that protect the funds for individuals with disabilities, such as the Washington Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) accounts. This change is significant because it ensures that the funds stay protected and are used in a way that benefits individuals eligible under these programs, promoting better financial management for those in need.
