The recent amendments to Bill HB 2123 clarify the reporting requirements for political contributions, ensuring that candidates and political committees must certify the accuracy of their financial reports. Additionally, it now requires contributions exceeding $6,000 from certain organizations to have a certification confirming that foreign nationals are not involved in financing or decision-making. These changes aim to increase transparency in campaign financing and protect the electoral process from foreign influence.
