The recent changes to Senate Bill 5207 expand the definition of electronic media services to include more types of media, such as games and software, which is important as it broadens consumer protections. Additionally, the amendment allows refunds to be issued promptly upon cancellation of a subscription, rather than only at the end of the month, which enhances the flexibility for consumers seeking refunds. These updates aim to better safeguard consumers' rights in the digital marketplace.
