The recent amendments to Bill HB 58 include several key changes. Notably, they remove civil penalties for directors or officers of insurance holding companies and repeal certain reporting requirements related to licensee compensation. Additionally, the bill now clarifies the registration and renewal process for ambulance membership organizations, designating them as limited health plans and requiring annual reports to the commissioner. These changes are significant as they simplify regulations for insurance companies and enhance oversight of ambulance membership organizations, which could improve accountability and operational efficiency.
