The updated version of Bill HB 76 introduces a new focus on data centers regarding their water use. It now includes requirements for large data centers to communicate with water providers, submit reports both before construction and annually, and contains enforceable provisions for these rules. These changes are important because they aim to improve transparency about water usage in data centers, helping to manage local water resources more effectively.
