The latest version of HB 331 includes several important changes. It now explicitly defines that certain completed actions can be considered offenses, not just threats, which clarifies the law's reach. Additionally, it introduces new offenses, such as intentionally concealing one's identity while committing a crime in public and unlawfully depriving someone of their religious rights, allowing victims to take civil action against offenders. These changes aim to enhance public safety and protect individual rights more effectively.
