The revised version of SB 204 includes specific healthcare providers (obstetricians, gynecologists, pediatricians, and physician assistants) who are qualified to provide care under the insurance policy. Additionally, it ensures that insurance policies for physical therapy cannot charge higher out-of-pocket costs than those for visits with primary care providers. These updates are important because they expand access to necessary medical services and clarify the costs associated with physical therapy, ultimately making healthcare more affordable for patients.
