The revisions to Bill SB 128 involve changes in terminology and clarity around definitions related to vulnerable individuals. The term "dependent adult" has been changed to "vulnerable adult" to better reflect the population being addressed, along with clearer criteria for who qualifies as either a vulnerable adult or a vulnerable minor. Additionally, the bill specifies that individuals with dementia are not classified as vulnerable adults. These changes aim to enhance the effectiveness of alert systems for missing individuals by ensuring the definition of vulnerability is precise and relevant.
