Plain-language change summary

The updated version of the bill SB 176 now specifically requires that state entities use electric-powered equipment for landscape maintenance, with certain exceptions. This change is significant because it aims to reduce the carbon footprint of state operations by encouraging the adoption of cleaner technologies. By transitioning to electric landscape maintenance equipment, the state can contribute to environmental sustainability and potentially save on ongoing maintenance costs in the long run.
