What changed in the latest version

The updated version of Bill SB 258, now known as SB 258S02, makes several significant adjustments regarding the Infant at Work Program. It solidifies the program's permanence for certain employees and allows other executive branch agencies to join by notifying the appropriate division, with participation requiring approval. This version also maintains that an agency can lose this approval if their involvement negatively impacts the program or workplace. Lastly, it streamlines the rules around participation by removing some previous provisions that were no longer relevant. These changes are important as they aim to ensure a supportive work environment for parents while protecting the integrity of the program.
