What changed in the latest version

The updated version of Bill SB 108 clarifies that municipalities or counties cannot regulate online marketplaces, though it now allows for some exceptions under specific circumstances. The bill defines what an "online marketplace" is more clearly, ensuring there is a better understanding of the platforms covered by this regulation. This change is important because it aims to create a consistent framework for how online businesses operate without local interference, which can encourage economic growth and simplify regulations for these companies.
