Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 1286 clarifies the language regarding the employer's investment in South Dakota's future fund, ensuring it focuses on research and economic development projects. Notably, the phrase "special revenue fund" was removed and replaced with "fund," simplifying the description. This change is significant because it streamlines the bill for better understanding and implementation, emphasizing that the fund's purpose remains the same: to support grants and awards for projects that benefit the state’s economy and workforce development.
