Plain-language change summary

In the revised version of Bill HB 1062, several lines were adjusted to clarify the language related to aggravated assault. Notably, the updated bill removes outdated or redundant phrases and deletes previously identified offenses that were no longer needed. This simplification matters because it makes the law easier to understand and enforce, ensuring that serious offenses are clearly defined. The overall penalties for aggravated assault remain as a Class 3 felony, maintaining a strong stance against such crimes while enhancing legal clarity.
