Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 107 expands the definition of "community safety zone" to include licensed and registered child care programs within a 500-foot radius of these sites. This change is significant because it aims to better protect children in these environments from potential threats by establishing clear boundaries around child care facilities. By making these areas safer, the legislation seeks to enhance the well-being and security of young children in the community.
