The recent amendments to Bill 3690 include a formal recognition and commendation for Lexington Technology Center (LTC), celebrating its 50th anniversary and the positive impact it has had on students and the community since its founding in 1974. This change emphasizes the center's role in providing specialized career development to approximately two thousand students annually from five local high schools and indicates its importance as a hub for Career and Technology Education. This acknowledgment matters because it highlights the value of vocational education and the contributions LTC has made to workforce development in South Carolina.

and Whereas, Lexington Technology Center, which is designated as the Lexington One Center for Advanced STEM Studies, currently offers thirty-two program areas of specialized training and is expanding every year.
Each area has its own advisory council to work with the center's administrative advisory council, faculty and staff, and community business partners.
LTC is proud to partner with more than one hundred fifty community members serving on these councils;
