The revised version of Bill SB 752 shifts the authority for permitting motor vehicle racing events from county commissions to the Department of Transportation. This change means that the Department can set specific permit requirements and charge fees to help cover administrative costs, ensuring better regulation of racing activities. This is important because it aims to create a standardized process for managing motor vehicle races on public roads, which can enhance safety and accountability.
