Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 467 include the addition of specific language about lands owned by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and their management. It clarifies that these lands, formerly owned by the Borough of West Mifflin, will be exchanged with the White Birch Golf Course in Schuylkill County, which is significant because it involves transferring property in a way that affects local land use. This matters because it ensures that new Project 70 restrictions are applied to protect these lands in the future, balancing development needs with conservation efforts.
