The recent amendment to Senate Bill 622 extends the expiration date of the mine safety technology tax credit from December 31, 2028, to December 31, 2030. This change is important because it gives companies more time to take advantage of financial incentives aimed at improving mine safety technology, potentially leading to safer working conditions in the industry. By encouraging investment in safety innovations, the state hopes to reduce accidents and improve overall safety standards in mining operations.
