The amended version of Bill SB 746 clarifies residents' rights regarding the purchase of manufactured home communities by ensuring that any sales agreements can't favor outside buyers or penalize community owners for meeting these requirements. Additionally, the revised bill simplifies the notice process, specifying that owners must inform residents and relevant agencies at least 90 days before a sale, but omits a previously required notification to the municipality. These changes are important because they strengthen protections for residents, allowing them a better chance to secure their homes while making the sales process clearer and more straightforward.
