Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill HB 1342 includes changes that specify a 15% discount on fees for various state park activities exclusively for active duty and certain former military personnel, along with their immediate family members. The amendment clarifies the eligibility criteria by clearly defining the categories of individuals who can receive this discount, such as active service members and veterans who have not been dishonorably discharged. This matters because it aims to recognize and support the sacrifices made by service members and their families, making outdoor recreation more accessible for them.
