Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Senate Bill 84 changes the title and clarifies the rules about how law enforcement can use surveillance cameras on private property. Specifically, it prohibits police from installing these cameras to gather information without the property owner’s consent or a warrant, while also outlining exceptions for specific situations where officers have a right to be present. This change matters because it aims to protect individual privacy rights while still allowing law enforcement to operate effectively under certain circumstances.
