Plain-language change summary

The amended version of Bill HB 4114 clarifies that individuals may sue anyone who enters their property without a warrant or valid exception, emphasizing the protection of personal privacy. Changes also specify the types of properties covered, such as places of worship and medical facilities, which is important to ensure these sensitive environments are safeguarded. Moreover, the bill no longer includes specific rules about federal and state law enforcement operations, focusing instead on the right to act against unlawful entry. This shift highlights a stronger emphasis on individual property rights and privacy in the face of law enforcement actions.
