Plain-language change summary

The changes to Bill HB 4142 include adding specific requirements for organizations and residential facilities that care for medical marijuana patients. These facilities must now have a written policy for handling marijuana, ensure proper staff training on its use, and make allowances for patients to use marijuana on-site. This matters because it enhances patient safety and support for medical marijuana use, ensuring that caregivers are well-informed and that patients have the necessary access to their medication in a safe environment.
