Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 1183 removes specific references to the "general fund" in relation to the state treasurer's investments in gold and silver. This change means that the bill now broadly addresses all funds deposited in the state treasury that can be invested in these precious metals, rather than limiting it to just the general fund. This adjustment is significant because it allows for a more comprehensive approach to investing state resources, potentially increasing financial stability by diversifying the state's investment portfolio.
