The amended version of Senate Bill 2282 increases the income tax credit for child care contributions made by qualified employers from 30% to 50% of their total contributions during the taxable year. This change means that employers can receive a larger tax break for their spending on childcare, which could encourage more businesses to invest in these benefits for their employees. By fostering support for childcare, the legislation aims to help working families and improve workforce stability in North Dakota.
