In the updated version of Senate Bill No. 2367, the language has been clarified concerning how local assessors determine the agricultural value of properties. Notably, the order of significance for considerations used in assessments has been streamlined, highlighting that the actual use of the property and soil type are key factors in these evaluations. This change is important because it helps ensure that property assessments are more accurately reflective of their current agricultural use, potentially leading to fairer tax assessments for landowners.
