Plain-language change summary

The amendments to House Bill 1354 clarify and update definitions related to real estate appraisals in North Dakota. Specifically, the term “agency” now includes agencies like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, ensuring alignment with federal standards. Additionally, the definition of "appraisal" has been slightly refined for clarity. These changes are important because they help ensure that the state's appraisal practices are consistent with federal regulations, providing clearer guidelines for appraisers and enhancing the professionalism of the industry.
