Plain-language change summary

The amendments to SB 2365 remove the provision that allowed a district court judge or judicial referee to waive or reduce program fees for participants in the twenty-four seven sobriety program. Instead, it now establishes that these fees must be collected and can only be used to support the sobriety program, including maintenance of equipment. This change reinforces the financial responsibility of offenders and ensures consistent funding for the program, which is significant for maintaining its operations and effectiveness.
