BeWhereas, itpursuant resolvedto byG.S. the Senate:
143B-9(a), the Governor shall notify the President of the Senate of the name of each person to be nominated as head of a principal State department;
and Whereas, each nomination is subject to senatorial advice and consent in conformance with Section 5(8) of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution;
and Whereas, the Governor has appointed Teena Piccione to serve as the State Chief Information Officer and Secretaryof the Department of Information Technologypending further action by the Senate;
Now, therefore, Be it resolved by the Senate:
