Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of House Bill 258, two changes were made. First, the bill now lists multiple sponsors, indicating broader support from Representatives K. Hall, Miller, Crawford, and Jeffers, which could strengthen its chances of approval. Second, there are some minor adjustments in wording but no substantial changes to the bill's provisions regarding how it will apply to prosecutions for offenses committed before its effective date. This clarifies that prior rules will still apply to those offenses, ensuring legal continuity.
