The recent amendments to HB 1467 introduce a new program that allows high schools in New Hampshire to recognize students with a "seal of civic excellence and engagement" on their diplomas. This seal indicates that a student has not only fulfilled their civics education requirements but has also demonstrated a deeper understanding of civic responsibility and engagement through additional coursework and extracurricular activities. These changes aim to encourage students to actively participate in their communities and understand the principles of government, thereby fostering more informed and engaged citizens.
