78 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
9 Section 1.
(2) LOCAL GOVERNMENT INFRASTRUCTURE SURTAX.— (d) The proceeds of the surtax authorized by this subsection and any accrued interest shall be expended by the school district, within the county and municipalities within the county, or, in the case of a negotiated joint county agreement, within another county, to finance, plan, and construct Page 1 of 6 CODING:

The amendment made by this act to s.
212.055(2)(d), Florida Statutes, authorizing additional uses of surtax proceeds applies to a surtax in effect on the date this act becomes a law only to the extent such use was authorized in the original referendum adopting the surtax or is authorized pursuant to a subsequent resolution conditioned to take effect only upon approval of a majority vote of the electors of the county voting in a referendum.
