Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 1836 specifies that the Department of Education must notify school districts or chartered public schools if they will withhold state education aid until required reports are submitted. This change is important because it adds a level of accountability by ensuring that schools are informed about the financial consequences of not completing their reports on time. Additionally, the fiscal note now indicates that no financial impact is expected because the Department does not anticipate any issues with compliance regarding these reports.
