The amendment to HB 4265 removes an existing subsection and replaces it with new specifics about the regulation of certain plant-based products, particularly hemp and kratom. Notably, it changes the threshold for certain derivatives from "2 percent" to "10 milligrams per dose," which could impact how these products are categorized and regulated. This is important because it clarifies dosage limits and may affect the availability and labeling of these substances, ensuring better consumer information and safety.
